Skills 4 Succession

The goal of our project Skills4Succession is to support Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in setting up succession plans for leaving the control of the business from one generation onto the next. In Europe only 10% of all entrepreneurs have succession plans in place. Studies point out however, that only around 50% of SMEs reach the second generation and succession onto the third generation is only around 20%. This project helps businesses find the right heir for their company to make it more sustainable.

The goal is to setup an online questionnaire for SMEs which helps them to find out in which area they might still need help and get a tailor-made training through our e-learning platform. This e-platform will help choosing an appropriate heir for the business, how to calculate the duration of the transition period and help throughout the different stages of the succession.
